Chianti Classico wine

The Chianti Classico Il Villino is produced in a small farm situated in the area of Gallo Nero, a short distance from Castellina in Chianti, at about 600 mt. above sea level.

The vineyards have a south-east exposure and the soil is typically clayey. The perfect mix between the climate and the soil give to this wine a particular Terroire, that combines the pleasure in drinking and the remarkable polyphenolic structure.

The grapes are picked exclusively by hand in the beginning of October. After the grapes are separated from the stalks, they are put into special containers where the alcoholic fermentation transforms the must into wine. This delicate operation lasts for about 12-15 days, after which the pressing of the marc starts in order to divide the wine from the skins that give colour, polyphenols and tannin. The wine starts the maturation period which lasts for about 7 to 8 months and afterwards it is bottled and ready to be served on your tables.

Deep ruby with light garnet red shades, the Chianti Classico Il Villino has a wide and intense scent, with hints of black forest fruit, of marasca cherry and a pleasant smell of precious wood and vanilla.
The taste is dry, well structured, austere and elegant, has a good harmony among tannins, acids and the parts responsible for softness (alcohol and glycerin): the persistence on the palate is excellent. Table wine, especially suitable with pasta, any kind of meat and not very ripe cheese.
